Captivate your Audience for Maximum Accessibility with Language Services

Captivating an overseas audience and encouraging them to invest in your products or services, requires more than just big spending on advertising – it requires specialist language services for maximum audience accessibility and engagement.

For instance, imagine spending thousands on a training video for your customer service team, only to find that employees based overseas can’t access the information or are misunderstanding key points because the language hasn’t been effectively localized, the subtitles are inadequate, or the voiceover is unsatisfactory.

It would be frustrating at best, or an expensive waste of valuable resources at worst!

Similarly, for audiences that are hard of hearing, visually impaired, or speak a different language, accessibility language services are a lifeline that help ensure full audience engagement, participation, and enjoyment.

For firms considering using accessibility language services such as, dubbing and subtitles, understanding how they function, and the processes involved, will ensure the best results.

Read on to find out more about accessibility language services and how they can help you captivate your audience…

Why do I Need Accessibility Language Services?

If you are producing media which will be consumed by either, an overseas audience or an extensive audience with many potential language differences, you’ll need accessibility language services if you want your message to be interpreted and understood the way you predicted.

For instance, if you use a unique corporate training video to teach new employees how to interact with customers, helping them promote brand values and beneficial customer relations, but it was originally designed for your home territory, this same video used overseas will require language localization (to ensure an appropriate and accurate language translation for the target audience) which is then dubbed, or subtitled for accessibility.

Similarly, many countries now have legislation which requires firms to offer additional aids and services for individuals with hearing or sight impediments so that they are able to make full use of the services available.

What Accessibility Language Services are Available?

Here, at Creative Word we’ve been providing audio transcription services and translation of audio and video files in over 80 languages, for two decades.

We only work with experienced linguists and have fine tuned our processes so that you can achieve translation, transcription and other language services which match your expectations and your budget.

Our accessibility language services include the following:

Transcription – this is rendering the spoken word into the written form. This transcription can then be translated into multiple languages.

A transcriber will listen to the recording, log exactly what is said word for word, and insert time codes.

A translator will then use this transcription for translation, or it can be translated from the original audio.

Subtitling – is the process of adding written words (caption) to a visual media. This might include, movies, training videos, documentaries, and so on.

Subtitling can be performed in the original language of the visual elements (usually for those who are hard of hearing) or can be translated to make the content accessible to speakers of other languages.

At Creative Word, we offer subtitles in over 80 languages and only work with experienced linguists and translators.

Voiceover – is the process of adding a voice to the original content. The voiceover can be performed in a different language to the original or used as an additional descriptive device for people who have impaired hearing.

Ensuring your content (whether this be email marketing, promotional videos or a documentary) is accessible to all potential customers and employees is vital for audience engagement and future success.
