Creative Word, one of the UAE’s leading Arabic translation agencies, is proud to announce it has signed up for the recent Translation Challenge set down by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Translation Challenge launched earlier this week as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic E-Learning Project called upon the Arab world to support a massive drive to increase the amount of Arabic translations available in the fields of math and science.
The challenge is to translate into Arabic more than 5,000 educational videos and 11 million words within one year. These will then all be made available via an e-learning platform for Arabic speaking children.
As a company passionate about the Arabic language, how could we refuse a call for such a great cause?
Creative Word have joined the initiative with the aim of ensuring the challenge it met!
Our Arabic translators will be helping in any way possible alongside the massive team of volunteers that the project has amassed in a very short time.
According to latest figures, around 12,000 volunteers from 29 countries have responded to the call.
Egypt has recorded the highest level of participation in the Arab world with 20%, followed by us here in the UAE and Saudi Arabia with 13.2% each.
Algeria came in the fourth place with 11.7% and Morocco came fifth with 7.6% of the total number of participants.
In further positive news, Nakheel Properties announced that it is going to provide complete sponsorship for the e-learning project throughout all stages.

“I am very proud of the challenge volunteers and Nakheel, which has adopted the whole project. The UAE’s national institutions and our humanitarian initiatives go hand in hand towards serving education and knowledge in our Arab world,” Shaikh Mohammad tweeted after the signing ceremony with Nakheel.
We look forward to the project, to collaborating with translation professionals, to improving the quality and speed of Arabic translations, to collectively enhancing our Arabic translation glossaries in the fields of math and science and to ensuring His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s challenge is not only met, but is better than he could have hoped for….inshaAllah.
Watch this space….!
